Child Protection Policy
Hareer Foundation for Community Development is committed to protecting all children who may come into contact with its programs and activities, especially those benefiting from the Foundation's community and humanitarian initiatives.
Purpose
- Ensure a safe environment for children participating in the Foundation's activities.
- Prevent all forms of violence, exploitation, or abuse against children.
- Define the responsibilities of staff and volunteers in protecting children.
- Establish clear mechanisms for reporting any concerns related to child safety.
Scope
This policy applies to all individuals associated with the Foundation, including board members, employees, volunteers, contractors, consultants, partners and collaborating organizations, and any person acting on behalf of or representing the Foundation.
Definition of a child
For the purposes of this policy, a child is any person under the age of 18, in accordance with international child rights standards.
Child protection principles
- The best interests of the child are a priority in all activities.
- Respecting the dignity and rights of the child.
- Non-discrimination among children for any reason.
- Listening to the child's voice and taking their views into account.
