Hair given with love, rewoven into hope
The Wig of Hope initiative is the first initiative launched by Hareer Foundation for Community Development, and it continues to this day with ongoing development and expansion, driven by a deep belief in its profound humanitarian impact on children and women who have lost their hair due to illness.
Hair loss is not a simple or minor matter; it is a deeply challenging psychological experience, especially for children, for whom hair is closely linked to identity, self-confidence, and a sense of safety. For women, hair represents an essential part of femininity and self-image. This is where Wig of Hope makes a real difference.
The initiative focuses on handcrafting wigs made entirely from natural hair, produced according to the highest international standards and specifications, with full consideration for medical safety and psychological comfort. Each wig is carefully designed to avoid harming the scalp and to be especially suitable for children.
These wigs are provided completely free of charge to children and women undergoing cancer treatment as a result of chemotherapy, as well as to individuals suffering from other medical conditions that cause hair loss.
What makes this initiative truly special is its strong community-driven spirit. The hair used to create the wigs is donated by members of the local community — hair given with love, carefully re-crafted, and transformed into a source of strength and hope.
With your contribution, you can become part of a new story of hope.
